Shiretoko Goko: the Boardwalk and the Ground Pathway

Walk the elevated wooden boardwalk at Shiretoko Goko out to the final observation deck, then turn around and come back the same way. The boardwalk has no steps and keeps its gradient gentle, so a wheelchair can pass along it.

To use the ground pathway in summer and autumn, pay the lecture fee of four hundred fifty yen as an adult or two hundred yen for a child aged eleven or under. The lecture itself takes about ten minutes.

Between the tenth of May and the end of July, walk the ground pathway on a guided tour. The large loop tour covers a total of three kilometers and takes three hours.

The small loop tour covers one point six kilometers and takes one hour and forty-five minutes. A same-day guided tour costs seven thousand yen for the large loop and four thousand yen for the small loop for anyone aged twelve or older.
